15 minutes from town, yet feels like a million miles away.

A retreat of historic proportions.

The Mountain Mermaid—a legendary Topanga watering hole.

The Mermaid was originally built in 1930 as The Silvia Park Country Club.

In the 40s it was a casino and brothel named Rancho Topango, and a gay nightclub known as The Canyon Club in the 50s and 60s. In the 70s it became a celebrated concert venue called The Mermaid Tavern. Eventually, it fell into a state of disrepair and was nearly demolished in the 80’s.

In the 1990s, the current owner purchased and restored it to it’s former magnificence.

Today, the stunning Mountain Mermaid is host to the world.
